The Badasht Project is happy to partner with Half Light Media (EIN 82-2235146) as our fiscal sponsor. Half Light Media is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit registered in the United States, whose aim is to create and celebrate various avenues of Baha'i-inspired art, music, and content creation. For over 15 years, Half Light Media has been behind dozens of projects, including Bahá'í Blog and Bahá'í Inspired.
We receive donations (tax-deductible for US donors) via the PayPal button below. If for any reason you prefer not to use PayPal, send us an email at badashtproject@gmail.com so we can provide additional options.
If you have corporate matching, you can use a portal such as benevity.com for your donation. Just look up Half Light’s EIN: 82-2235146

The initial project launch cost is $80,000. Any funds raised above that amount will go towards developing community resources, in-person events and more music. These will all be updated regularly on our Substack.

The project will require several months of full-time production focus as well as payment for instrumental and vocal talent, recording, mixing and mastering engineers, travel and studio time. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at badashtproject@gmail.com.

Half Light Media is a US-based 501(c)(3), so only US-based donations are tax deductible. However, everyone will receive a receipt indicating the non-profit status of Half Light.

This is 100% dependent on means and personal reflection. No amount is too big or too small; this is a community-powered project and each donation will be received with gratitude and put to work on the project!

This will be determined by the needs and structure of the album, but in addition to the partnership of Eric Dozier and JB Eckl, we will be enlisting the help of an established group of collaborators. Dean Kalyan will be overseeing and integrating the community resource element.

Our intention is to continue all aspects of the Badasht Project for the forsee-able future, integrating more contributors and forms of creativity as the work requires them.

As far as timelines go, we are planning planning for a March 21 release… but quality comes first.

Production of physical media will be based on dialog with the community. If there is sufficient demand, we will print CDs. Do we have merch ideas? Yes.
